Michael
Willinsky and David Andrew Lloyd are the two hottest
comedy writers in Hollywood (but don't take their mother's
word for it - a lot of producers and actors also enjoy
their unique talent.)
They
began writing together in Fred Willard’s Comedy Troupe,
where they penned dozens of side-splitting comedy sketches,
including Judas: The Rematch and L.A. Vet, which are
still putting audiences in stitches.“If it ain’t funny,”
Willinsky recently told a Senate Subcommittee on Un-American
Activities, “Then we didn’t write it.”
This
deadpan duo soon realized that two brain cells are better than one, and decided
to collaborate on a full-length feature. The result was Sin City Saint,
which won the KASA Award for “Best Comedy Screenplay”.
Their
outrageous story follows a pair of misguided brothers, who encounter Jesus on
their way to Vegas.(Think Cain and Un-Able.)
“It’s a good thing God has a
sense of humor,” Lloyd told The Spanish
Inquisition, “or we might have ended up in purgatory.”
Since winning their award, Willinsky & Lloyd have worked on
several film scripts and TV pilots, plus a &$%-load of infomercials (but
they’re too embarrassed to tell anybody which ones). Currently, their feature Time Expired is being developed by Fox
/ Searchlight; and Techno-Smog, their
mocku-mentary about the dangers of living in a computer society has been
optioned by Black Sky Entertainment.
As card
carrying members of Filmmakers Alliance
and IFP West, Willinsky and Lloyd have
started corrupting the youth of America
by producing their own subversive movies, including a collection of their
comedy sketches (which should be banned in 37 states).
Outside
of Hollywood,
their humor has appeared in National
Lampoon, Advertising Age, Poker Digest, Amusement Business, the Writer’s Guild
Journal and many other publications.
For amusement, they tease small animals.
